Paraguayan construction company Concret-Mix will team up with Brazilian cement firm Camargo Corrê Cimentos to build a US$17m cement mill in Paraguay, local press reported. The mill, which will be built in the city of Mariano Roque Alonso, will produce some 200,000tpa of cement when fully operational. Of the proposed US$17mn investment, Camargo will fund US$9.5m and Concret-Mix US$7.5m. The plant could supply 20 per cent of Paraguay’s domestic needs, with the rest being exported to neighboring Argentina.
