Nine people were seriously burned in a cement plant accident in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, China, Monday evening, and six of them were still in danger, doctors said Tuesday. All of the injured, six construction workers and three factory workers, are hospitalized, with the six in critical conditions being treated in ICU (intensive care unit) of the hospital attached to Ningxia Medical College. The nine workers were fixing refractory bricks to the inner wall of a kiln in the plant in Helan County at around 7:40 Monday evening when part of the high-temperature materials fell off the wall and dropped onto the workers, factory officials said.
