Jordanian cement producer Jordan Cement Factories Co (JCFC) registered an 18.6 per cent YoY increase in its 2004 net sales to JOD165.8m (US$234.3m). 

The company’s output rose 11 pct to 3.097Mt, which is a record-high figure since the company’s establishment. Local sales stood at 3.853Mt, a 20 per cent increase. 

JCFC reported a surge in net profit to JOD 52.1m (US$73.6m), up 93 per cent YoY. Based on the strong performance in 2004, the company’s management board has proposed a cash dividend payment of JOD39.28m (US$55.5m) for the year, equal to 65 per cent of the capital.
