In January-March,Kramatorsk-based cement plant Pushka (Donetsk region) increased cement production by 56.6 per cent or 50,000t up to 138,400t from the like-2004 period.
Ukrainian News learned this from a statement of the Ukrtsement association, which incorporates Pushka.
According to the statement, in January-March Pushka reduced clinker production by 12.9 per cent or 12,500t up to 84,400t from the like-2004 period.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in 2005 Pushka intends to increase its production volume by 82.6 per cent or UAH 66.64m up to UAH 147.3m compared with the year 2004.
The enterprise finished 2003 with net profits of UAH 4.023m.In 2003 Pushka increased revenues by UAH 14.9 per cent or UAH 15.134m to UAH 116.525m.
Its annual capacities for cement production constitute 580,000t, for clinker 400,000t, and for slates 300m relative plates.
In March, the EuroCement Group (Moscow), the largest Russian company specializing in production and sale of cement, acquired about 90 per cent of the shares in the Pushka cement plant from the Inteko company (Moscow).
