Bolivian cement production increased 12% in 2004 to 1.28Mt compared to the year before, according to the country’s national statistics institute (INE).
Growth occurred thanks to increased production in the Cochabamba and Chuquisaca departments.
Plants in Chuquisaca and La Paz had the largest market share with 26.6% and 25.3%, respectively, followed by Cochabamba (21.4%), Santa Cruz (13.9%), Oruro (6.74%) and Tarija (6.1%).
