Turkish cement producer Denizli Birlik Cimento will invest Euro120m in a cement factory in Yatagan, Mugla province, southwestern Turkey, in cooperation with 123 local businessmen, it was reported on January 7, 2005. Construction works will start in May 2005 and are due to be completed for two to three years. The plant will be built on a 102,000 sq m land plot between the towns Yatagan and Kavaklidere, the company’s management board chairman Kadir Uslu said. The factory will produce 1.6Mta cement from 1.0Mta of clinker, which will meet European quality standards. It will employ 750. The Yatagan municipality is among the shareholders of Denizli Birlik Cimento.
