UAE cement maker Gulf Cement Company, based in the emirate of Ras al-Khaimah, is expected to sign on October 12, 2004 an agreement for the delivery of a new clinker production line, estimated at some $100m. The new production line will have a daily capacity of 7500 tonnes of clinker, or some 2.4Mt of clinker a year, the company’s general manager, Ahmad Abdulla al-A’amash, said in a letter to the Abu Dhabi Securities Market (ADSM). The clinker production line is expected to be installed by mid-2006.
