Kryvyi Rih Cement, one of the five largest cement producers in Ukraine, increased cement production by 71,011 tons or 18.9% to 445,819 tons in the July-September period of this year, compared with the corresponding period of last year.  According to a company spokesman, Kryvyi Rih Cement increased production of clinker by 37,753t or 15.4 per cent to 282,173t during the July-September period of 2004, compared with the corresponding period of 2003.   The Kryvyi Rih Cement has a design annual capacity of 1.5Mt of cement. Germany’s HeidelbergCement holds 79.6 per cent of the shares in Kryvyi Rih Cement while Foyil Services Limited (Cyprus) holds 10 per cent.
