Javedan Cement Ltd (JCL) has posted a record profit of Rs 121.697m during the year 2003-2004. According to JCL here on Thursday, for the first time the company has reported such a big profit in the last 12 years.
Chairman State Cement Corporation Abdul Bari Khan said that the earning per share of the company was Rs 1.51, but due to accumulated losses of the past, the payment of cash dividend has been reduced to only 75 paisa per share. Bari Khan said that JCL sold 353,906 tons of clinker and 447,787 tons of cement during 2003-2004.
