Cement demand in Spain stood at 31.91Mt for the first eight months of 2004, up 3.52 per cent year-on-year, Spanish Cement Makers Association Oficemen said on September 13, 2004.  Spanish cement output stood at 30.95Mt, a 4.34 per cent rise.  Spanish cement and cement clinker exports went up by 17.4 per cent output stood at 45.92Mt from September 1, 2003 to August 31, 2004, a 5.3 per cent year-on-year increase, exports for the period growing 7.04 per cent year-on-year and totalling 1.39Mt. Imports stood at 7.82Mt from September 1, 2003 to August 31, 2004, up 0.5 per cent year-on-year. Cement demand in Spain totalled 3.57Mt in August 2004, a 9.49 per cent increase from August 2003. In July 2004, cement output in Spain stood at 4.36Mt, down 2.62 per cent year-on-year.
