Peter Orisich, the chairman of the Austrian Cement Industry Association (VÖZ), announced to the press Tuesday that the Austrian cement industry had increased its turnover by five per cent to EUR301m in 2003. He added that the economic stimulus to be provided by EU enlargement and implementation of Austria’s national traffic plan would help the industry, assuming that it occurred as expected.
