TPI Polene PCL, Thailand’s number three cement maker, said on Friday it expected its second-quarter net profit to exceed the 2.3 billion baht ($59 million) posted in the first quarter. Chief executive Prachai Leophairatana told reporters the forecast was based on rising cement sales and prices on the back of a domestic construction boom. He did not give a specific figure. The company also planned to book a 3.14 billion baht gain from a recent debt restructuring in the second quarter, he said.
