The cement output of Croatian cement maker Holcim Hrvatska d.o.o, stood at some 750,000t in 2003.  Holcim Hrvatska exported some 200,000t of its cement output, mainly to Italy.  The company also produced some 200,000 cu m of concrete. This marks a 13 per cent year-on-year increase in sales of cement and a 46 pct year-on-year increase in sales of concrete in Croatia due to intensive construction works throughout the county.  Holcim Hrvatska posted a US$7.0m after tax profit on a revenue of US$65.8m.  The company will pay taxes of US$1.3m.

The company opened a cement terminal in Zadar, southern Croatia. It also started a US$5.6 mln investment in Koromacno, northern Croatia, including construction of warehouse and four cement silos.  Holcim Hrvatska is headquartered in Koromacno. The company changed its name from Tvornica Cementa Koromacno (TCK) to Holcim Hrvatska in September 2003.
