The war by the Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON) against fake products has paid off with the arrest of some suspects for allegedly re-bagging adulterated cement products, a SON official said here Tuesday.  John Akanya, director-general of the SON, told reporters that the arrests were made when the officers of the SON’s Enforcement Unit raided a satellite town in Lagos.  According to Akanya, the SON officials found crushed and wasted cement awaiting to be bagged as fresh cement in the Kirikiri area of the nation’s commercial capital Lagos.
