Czech firm PSP Engineering, has won several new orders in Russia, according to the firm's spokesman Ludek Fesar. PSP has signed deals to complete a cement mill at the Voskresensk cement factory, owned by Lafarge. PSP will also supply and assemble a cooling unit for the Sukhoi Lug cement plant. The cooler is scheduled to begin operation in the first half of this year. PSP has also signed a contract in cooperation with the Alta company to supply the Severstal firm, and a deal to supply ore separation technology for a facility in Vorontsovka. The firm declined to specify the value of any of the contracts. PSP posted a loss of CZK 6.58 mln in 2002, up from a loss of CZK 4.7 mln the previous year. Sales for 2002 stood at CZK 1.2 bn, roughly the same as in 2001. Exports account for nearly 70 % of the firm's sales. PSP is owned by the German engineering firm IKN, which acquired a nearly 100 % stake in the company from Prerovske strojirny and Tarpa Securities in 2003.
