Nepal's largest cement factory Udayapur Cement Industry, has stopped production for past three days due to a lack of coal as well as experiencing other difficulties.
Nepal News reported that the company has been hampered by a series of problems involving machinery being out of order and shortages of coal or raw materials. Therefore, it has been forced to halt production frequently.
Furthermore, an Indian coal dealer that supplies coal to the industry has halted supplies, claiming that the industry has not cleared its dues.
