Tunisia has reported a double-digit rise in cement sales for the first 11 months of 2012 while exports saw a significant drop over the same period.
Domestic sales rose by 11.6 per cent during January-November 2012 to 6.559Mt from 5.875Mt recorded in the first 11 months of 2011.
Production, meanwhile, rose 10.7 per cent to 6.787Mt from 6.13Mt in the corresponding period of 2011.
Exports, however, fell 22.4 per cent to 201,000t against the 259,000t registered in the first 11 months of the previous year.
