During the Iranian year ending 20 March 2013, the country produced 70.26Mt, which represented growth of 5.7 per cent compared to the same period of the previous year (66.44Mt).
Clinker production, meanwhile, rose 4.54 per cent YoY to 70.44Mt from 67.38Mt in the same period of last year.
During the year just ended, Abyek Cement Company was the biggest Iran’s cement player, with producing 3,192,454t of cement and 2,941,334t of clinker.
Iran exported 1.364Mt of cement and clinker last year, comprising 1.185Mt of cement and 1.795Mt of clinker. The largest exporter was Saman-E-Gharb Cement which exported 1.112Mt during the period.
