The 2014 China International Cement Industry Exhibition and Conference started proceedings on Sunday 27th April at the Hotel Nikko New Century, Beijing, China, with delegates gathering to discuss industry developments under the theme of 'Market, environment and energy efficiency.'

Technical proceedings officially began with an opening speech by Mr Qiao Longde, conference chairman and president of China Cement Association and China Building Materials Federation, followed by an address by Mr Jiang Minglin, consultant to the state council.

These well-attended first day technical sessions are complimentary to the 15th Cementtech Exhibition being held at the China International Exhibition Centre for three days over 28-30 April 2014.
Formally opened this morning, the extensive exhibition area showcases the latest technology on offer to the Chinese cement industry, with over 100 companies exhibiting comprising both local and international manufacturers.
