In August 2015 Argentina’s cement producers dispatched 981,621t of cement (including exports), down 8.6 per cent MoM and 2.2 per cent YoY, according to the country's cement association, AFCP.
The country’s cement demand fell by 8.6 per cent MoM but by only 1.6 per cent when compared with August 2014. Total domestic shipments reached 977,469t and no cement was imported.
For the first eight months of 2015, Argentina’s cement consumption supplied by domestic producers reached 7,924,210t, up 9.5 per cent when compared with the same period in 2014, when the figure reached 7.236,984. In addition, some 1000t were imported. However, exports dropped 40 per cent during 8M2015 to 68,480t from 114,042t the year before.
