Ramco Cement Ltd (RCL) has ordered three Loesche vertical roller mills to grind clinker and/or slag for three of its Indian cement plants.

For each cement plant, one vertical roller mill type LM41.2+2 CS with two grinding rollers and two support rollers with a power range of 3000kW and a capacity of 130tph has been ordered to grind Portland pozzolana cement (PPC). One of the two VRMs is to be installed in Kolaghat, West Bengal, (northeast India, approximately 50km from Calcutta), where RCL is currently increasing its grinding capacity by 0.95-2Mta.

The second of these mills is for the Gobburupalam grinding plant in Visakhapatnam, in the state of Andhra Pradesh. RCL has also purchased a third VRM type LM46.2+2 CS with a capacity of 3750kW for its newly-constructed 900,000tpa cement plant in Haridaspur, Odisha. This mill grinds PPC with a throughput of 165tph. Mill fans, bag-type filters and further auxiliary equipment are also part of the delivery, which will be carried out in approximately six months.
