Carthage Cement reported a turnover of TND237.2m (US$79.6m) in 2018, an increase of 37 per cent when compared with a turnover of TND173m in 2017.
Clinker output rose by 13 per cent YoY in 2018. Revenues from clinker exports reached TND47m in 2018, representing 20 per cent of the Tunisia-based company’s overall sales and more than off-setting the loss of cement exports due to Algerian government restrictions.
In addition, the cement producer was also able to shave off three per cent of its overall indebtedness, which fell to TND515m.
