Following the successfully-finished projects in Côte d'Ivoire and Burkina Faso, Intercem Engineering has been granted a new order in west Africa from Les Cimenteries de la Basse-Guinée for a 500,000tpa cement grinding plant including raw material shed, hopper station, packing plant and truck loading station in Kamsar, Guinea.
The contract includes the raw material storage with a capacity of 12,000t, a 70tph cement grinding plant with VRM (vertical roller mill with four rollers and installed power of 1250kW) and high-efficiency separator, the transport to 2 x 1000t cement silos, two truck loading stations for bulk cement, the packing plant with eight-spout rotary packer and two loading stations for bagged cement, the sub-system and the electrical equipment. The entire equipment scope will be delivered exclusively by renowned European manufacturers.
In addition, Intercem Engineering will also handle the complete engineering, supervision of the erection and commissioning of the grinding unit.
Groundbreaking is previewed for beginning of March 2019, while the start of cement production is scheduled 14 months after the contract comes into force.
