IEEE-IAS/PCA 2019 opened its doors to visitors at the America’s Centre in St Louis, Missouri, on Sunday evening with the first two-hour opportunity for visitors to walk around the large hall of more than 160 exhibitor stands.
Michael L Parson, Governor of St Louis, stated in the welcome programme that, “the St Louis region contains five operating cement plants along the Mississippi River, making St Louis an ideal location to host this annual event.”
The 61st Cement Industry Technical Conference for presentations will get underway on Tuesday and will continue through Wednesday, while there is more opportunity to visit the exhibition stands on Monday and on Tuesday.
Process training and professional development courses are also ongoing from Monday, before IEEE hosts an awards banquet on the Wednesday night. In addition, LafargeHolcim USA has invited participants to a plant tour of its St Genevieve cement plant on Thursday.
Corinne Field, local organising committee chair, said: “We expect this year’s conference to exceed expectations and we wish attendees another wonderful cement conference experience.”
International Cement Review is located at Booth No 1 in the exhibition hall and has details about the forthcoming Cemtech Asia and Europe Conferences in Bangkok and Berlin, respectively. Visitors to the stand will also be able to pick up a copy of ICR’s May issue.
