HeidelbergCement has successfully rolled out the latest version of INFORM's transport optimisation software for the building materials industry.

The new version (V10) features an overhauled user interface (UI) and decision-making engine. Inspired by feedback from customers and partners, INFORM designed the new UI to accelerate user adoption, while the updated algorithms further increase truck fleet productivity.

"We have been using INFORM’s AI based transport optimisation software for over five years in the cement business," said Silvio Günther, Head of Logistics Germany at HeidelbergCement. "On-time delivery and flexibility are vital to our cement customers and INFORM’s software allows our cement customer service centre to react quickly."

The new design enhances user experience for transport planners and dispatchers in the cement, ready-mix concrete, aggregates, and asphalt industry, making the software more intuitive and visually engaging. Easy-to-understand icons mean faster time-to-proficiency for novice users, cutting down the costs of user training significantly.

"Our journey to deliver best-in-class algorithms and transport optimisation products continues with V10," explains Dr Flachskampf.

Additional features will be released in the coming months, including enhanced web capabilities, an all-new telematics app, machine learning (ML) powered add-ons to expand supply chain forecasts, and easy-to-generate BI dashboards based on Qlik Sense.
