The Spanish Añorga cement factory of Sociedad Financiera y Minera SA (HeidelbergCement Group) is to install an electrical energy management system. Currently energy measurement at the plant is carried out locally, with no real-time control of the energy consumed by the production equipment, nor its monitoring in the distributed control system (PCS7).
The project will allow the analysis of the information related to the electrical consumption of the different installations that make up the plant. This system will allow the creation of records of all the information collected and the processing of information through different data processing tools such as Excel, Access, SQL Server or Process Book. Likewise, the electrical energy management system will favour the identification of potential energy improvement points, and the application of corrective measures or investment forecasts. For this, it will be necessary to install new network analysers and extend communications in a large part of the factory.
