Saudi Arabia-based Eastern Province Cement Co has awarded the contract for two vertical roller mills (VRMs) for the new 10,000tpd line at its Khursaniyah plant to Gebr Pfeiffer.
Gebr Pfeiffer will supply two MVR 5000 R-4 VRMs, the first to be installed in Saudi Arabia. Each mill will be equipped with a latest-generation SLS 4500 VR classifier and will grind 550tph of cement raw to a fineness of ≤10 per cent R on 90µm.
The contract is being handled by general contractor CBMI from Chengdu, China. Gebr Pfeiffer expects to commission the MVR mills in the second half of 2025.
