Côte d’Ivoire’s government lowered the price of a tonne of cement by XOF7000 (US$11.12) by decree on 26 December 2024, according to local press reports. The price change applies to all types of cement.

The maximum price for one tonne of cement in Abidjan now ranges between XOF95,000-99,000, supplied ex-works, while wholesale prices range between XOF97,000-101,000. At retail level, cement now costs XOF102,000-106,250/tonne.

For domestic deliveries further afield, the cost of transport has been determined at XOF30/km/t.

However, the new fixed prices are not being used by all market participants.
