Argentina’s cement demand increased by 8.4 per cent YoY to 831,703t in January 2025 from 767,263t in January 2024, according to the country’s cement association, AFCP.
Of this total, 831,357t was supplied by domestic cement producers, 8.4 per cent up YoY when compared with January 2024, when 766,803t was dispatched in Argentina. A total of 346t of cement was imported into the country, representing a drop of 24.8 per cent YoY from 460t in January 2024.
Total output by the country’s domestic cement producers expanded by 8.7 per cent YoY to 840,018t in January 2025 from 772,840t in January 2024. In addition to supplying the domestic market, they exported 8661t of cement, representing an increase of 43.5 per cent YoY from 6036t in January 2024.
