Cement deliveries by APC members Asment Témara, Ciments de l’Atlas, Ciments du Maroc and LafargeHolcim Maroc in Morocco increased by 13.8 per cent YoY to 1,285,613t in January 2025 when compared with 1,130,200t in the year-ago period, according to APC data.
The wholesale/retail sector saw an increase of 9.2 per cent YoY to 706,590t in January 2025 from 647,351t while sales to the ready-mix concrete segment were up by 24.8 per cent YoY to 309,743t from 248,213t. The prefabricated segment reported a 26.8 per cent advance to 139,781t in January 2025 from 109,888t in the equivalent period of the previous year. Sales to the building sector picked up by 4.6 per cent YoY to 37,781t from 36,116t in January 2024 while the infrastructure segment saw a 4.4 per cent increase to 87,538t from 83,817t over the same period. Approximately 4585t was sold to the mortars segment, down 4.7 per cent YoY from 4812t.
