Cement sales in Senegal declined by 3.9 per cent YoY to 639,500t in January 2025 when compared with January 2024, when 665,500t was sold on the domestic market, according to data published by Senegal’s Planning and Economic Policy Directorate.
The country’s cement manufacturers produced 762,500t in the first month of 2025, 14.3 per cent less than in the equivalent period of the previous year, when output reached 889,900t.
Exports dropped by 34.1 per cent YoY to 148,100t in January 2025 from 224,800t in January 2024.
