During the first 10 months (July 2012-April 2013) Pakistan exported 6.943Mt on revenues of US$469.02m, compared to 7.016Mt at US$390.42m in the corresponding period of last year. Lafarge Malayan Cement is expected to finalise plans for a new expansion project by the end of August this year, according to the company's chief executive Bradley Mulroney. Vietnam cement sales in the first four months of 2013 fell 1.7 per cent YoY to 14.45Mt, the Ministry of Construction (MoC) has said. Sales in the first four months represent 29.8 per cent of the full-year target, the MoC added. Cement production during the period was 15.53Mt (meeting 27.7 per cent of the full-year target). Total cement dispatches by members of Peruvian cement association Asocem reached 3,345,226t in the first four months of this year, rising 12.42 per cent YoY. Titan's first-quarter turnover showed a 7.8 per cent improvement to €243m while the EBITDA fell by 29.4 per cent, in line with the 29.3 per cent reduction seen this time last year, to €24.3m. The Iranian cement industry produced 4,940,597t of cement and 6,277,978t of clinker in the first month of the Iranian calendar, known as Farvardin (20 March - 20 April 2013), according to local sources.
