PT Semen Indonesia saw a 2.1 per cent slip in total revenues to IDR15.876trn in the 1H22 when compared with the year-ago period. In the first half of 2022, Semen Indonesia Group (SIG) has reported revenue of IDR15,876bn (US$1064m), down 2.1 per cent on the same period last year. Total exports from Indonesia declined by 35.5 per cent in June 2022 as the country’s cement producers supplied 665,760t of cement and clinker to overseas destinations, according to the Indonesian cement association, ASI. Cement sales in Indonesia slipped two per cent to 5,438,865 in June 2022 from 5,551,489t in June 2021, according to the Indonesian cement association, ASI. In the first three months of 2022, Indonesia's cement market expanded by 4.8 per cent to 15.594Mt when compared with the equivalent period in 2021, when demand stood at 14.873Mt. A barge loaded with clinker has been severely damaged in the middle at the wharf of a cement factory owned by PT Cemindo Gemilang located in Bayah district, Lebak regency, Banten, Indonesia.
