Iran cement exports rise 17 per cent06 March 2012, Published under Cement NewsIran exported over 9.3Mt of cement in the first 11 months of the year (ends 19 March 2012), representing a 17 per cent YoY rise, IRNA news agency reported. Clinker exports during the period were 1.5Mt. Iran’s cement production capacity currently stands at 74Mt, Iranian Minster of Industry, Mine and Trade, Mehdi Ghazanfari, recently said. Iran to launch Venezuelan cement factory in March16 January 2012, Published under Cement NewsIranian-built cement factory in Venezuela "Cerro Azul" is to be launched in March 2012, according to local press reports. Iranian Ehdas Sanat Company signed a contract with Venezuelan government in 2005 for building the cement firm in the country costing US$198m.
