India: dumping duty on UAE, Iran white cement extended

India’s Finance Ministry has extended the validity of existing anti-dumping duty on white cement imports from Iran, UAE until 11 April 2013. Iran output rises eight per cent

Iran registered an eight per cent YoY rise in cement production last year, which ended on 19 March with volumes reaching 66.4Mt, IRNA news agency reported.  Some 67.6Mt of clinker was producer, up 12 per cent YoY. Iran cement exports rise 17 per cent

Iran exported over 9.3Mt of cement in the first 11 months of the year (ends 19 March 2012), representing a 17 per cent YoY rise, IRNA news agency reported. Clinker exports during the period were 1.5Mt. Iran’s cement production capacity currently stands at 74Mt, Iranian Minster of Industry, Mine and Trade, Mehdi Ghazanfari, recently said. Iran to launch Venezuelan cement factory in March

Iranian-built cement factory in Venezuela "Cerro Azul" is to be launched in March 2012, according to local press reports. Iranian Ehdas Sanat Company signed a contract with Venezuelan government in 2005 for building the cement firm in the country costing US$198m.
