Iran reports strong export gains in first 11 months

Cementitious exports from Iran have risen by 35 per cent in value terms during the first 11 months of the current Iranian calendar (beginning 20 March 2012), to reach a total of US$822m. Exports totaled 10.4Mt, a rise of 27 per cent YoY, according to reports by Trend News Agency. Export destinations include some 24 countries including Iraq, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan. Iranian output continues its upward climb as the country produced 5.6 per cent more cement in the first 11 months of the current Iranian calendar year (which began on 20 March 2012) compared to the same period of the previous year. Iran Daily has announced that some 69.457Mt of cement were produced domestically YoY from February 2012, showing an increase of 6.7 per cent compared to the figure for the same period before, which was 65.116Mt. Iran produced 53.16Mt in the first nine months of the current Iranian year (beginning 20 March 2012), representing a 5.85 per cent increase on the 51.65Mt produced in the same period of last year.
