JK Cement starts commercial production from Jharli grinding unit, India01 July 2014, Published under Cement NewsJK Cement has started commercial production from its split-grinding unit at Jharli in the northern Indian state of Haryana. The 1.5Mta plant will source its raw material from both internal and external sources such as fly ash from NTPC power plant and clinker from JK Cement’s Nimbahera and Mangrol units. The new facility will help the company serve major markets like Delhi, Haryana and Punjab “more effectively and logistically,” according to a statement posted on the company’s website. |

India’s JK Cement reports 55% drop in 1QFY13-14FY29 July 2013, Published under Cement NewsJK Cement reported a 55 per cent drop in its net profit at INR310m (US$5.22m) for the quarter ended 30 June 2013 as a result of lower realisation and higher input costs. In the corresponding quarter of the previous year, the company had posted a profit of INR690m. Total income from operations also fell 10 per cent from INR7.37bn to INR6.61bn.
