The Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously this month to start a process to consider revoking or amending Lehigh Southwest Cement Company’s use permit. The decision comes roughly a month after the company announced it would permanently shut down its cement kiln at its 3510-acre Permanente Quarry and cement plant. Leamington Cement plant makes savings with new finish mill

Ash Grove Cement’s ( CRH group ) Leamington plant in Utah, USA, recently completed a project to upgrade the internals of the finish mill. The project increased grinding efficiency and power savings on the mill system. Working with Rocky Mountain Power, the plant received an incentive check for the power savings of the project totalling US$507,781.95.

Lehigh Hanson Cement has announced that staff lay-offs at its Glens Falls cement plant in Indiana, USA, will begin in April 2023.
