Hanson awards contract for CCS plant at Padeswood

UK-based Hanson , part of Heidelberg Materials , has awarded a contract to Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Engineering to deliver the preliminary front-end engineering design for a CO 2 capture plant at Hanson’s Padeswood cement plant in Flintshire, north Wales. Holcim US is to pay US$100,000 in fines for air pollution violations following reports of large clouds of cement dust leaving its factory in Theodore , Mobile County, USA. Bedeschi wins US bulk material handling equipment order

Bedeschi SpA is finalising the installation of several pieces of bulk handling equipment for Lehigh Cement's Mitchell plant in Indiana, USA. The supply includes two crusher units, two apron feeders, one stacker and one reclaimer. Both stacker and reclaimer are installed inside a longitudinal park.  The stacker will handle limestone at a capacity of 1200tph, while the reclaimer has a capacity of 650tph.

Argos ( Grupo Argos ) has reported the highest levels of sales and EBITDA in its history, with figures of COP8.5trn (US$302.6m) and COP1.5trn, and increases of 20.7 and 4.3   per cent, respectively. Summit Materials ' reported net revenue rose by US$23.8m to US$686m in the 3Q22, up 3.6 per cent on the 3Q21.
