Iskitim buys analyser for grinding department

Russia-based Iskitimcement has purchased a RUB5m X-Supreme 8000 XRF bench top analyser for its grinding department laboratory. The analyser will be used to quickly and accurately determine the content of additives round-the-clock and adjust levels as necessary. In the opening six months of 2022, Angarskcement produced 346,000t of cement, up 11.7 per cent on the same period a year earlier. Russia-based Iskitimcement produced 528,000t of cement in the 1H22, up six per cent when compared with the 1H21. Of this total, CEM I 42.5B cement accounts for 42 per cent, CEM II/A-SH 32.5B cement for 22 per cent, CEM 0 42.5B cement for 13 per cent and cement for road construction for seven per cent. Nevyanski Tsementnik , owned by Russia-based Mikhailovsky Combine of Building Materials , produced 436,000t of cement in the first half of 2022, up 18 per cent YoY. UltraTech Cement has reportedly paid for a shipment of Russian coal in Chinese yuan, raising questions over whether this will now become the norm. The cement producer is importing 157,000t of coal from Russian company SUEK at a value of CNY172.65m (US$25.8m).
