Cementos Molins records net profits of EUR62m for 9M20

Cementos Molins has announced its 9M20 results, with net profits reaching EUR62m, 12 per cent less than the same period last year. In comparable terms of exchange rates and hyperinflation adjustment, net profits to September grew by 13 per cent. Cement demand in Spain has declined by 11.6 per cent YoY to 9.858Mt at the end of the 3Q20, according to Oficemen, the country’s cement association. In September cement consumption edged up by 0.9 percent YoY to 1.246Mt. Cement consumption in Spain declined 5.1 per cent YoY in August 2020, following a 3.4 per cent drop in July, according to the country’s cement association, Oficemen. Turkey's Sabanci Holding has announced that it will be restructuring its white cement business unit by merging its financial power and the operational capability of its Çimsa subsidiary, according to a statement.
