Vietnam sees cement demand pick up13 June 2014, Published under Cement NewsThe Vietnam National Cement Association (Vicem) says domestic cement consumption in the first five months of 2014 reached 20.42Mt, up 9.3 per cent on the same period last year. In the last month alone, cement consumption in the country was estimated at 4.87Mt, increasing 12 per cent against May 2013. Vicem: January cement and clinker output declines28 February 2014, Published under Cement NewsState-owned Vietnam Cement Industry Corp (Vicem) saw output in January fall to 1.44Mt, a 9.4 per cent decline from December 2013 and 19.5 per cent reduction YoY.
