In the first half of this year, Bolivian sales  increased by 10.62 per cent compared to the same period of 2011 and manufacturers expect demand will continue to rise. Trinidad Cement Ltd (TCL) has doubled its posted a post-tax loss for the first six months of 2012 compared to the same period of last year. France-based Vicat's first half performance improved strongly in Asia but results have mainly deteriorated elsewhere. Union Cement Company, reported a rise in its net profit for the first six months of 2012 of US$5.6m, reversing the US$2.4m loss reported in 2011. Pakistan dispatches in the first month of the current fiscal saw a decline of 1.64 per cent compared to July 2011, according to data from the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA).
