Cement consumption in Spain rose 2.7 per cent in November to 902,312t, according to the latest data of Oficemen. The November data take domestic consumption in the first 11 months of 2014 to 10,009,922t, slipping by 0.3 per cent on the previous year’s figure. Peru’s November cement dispatches remained stable MoM at 928,981t, according to Asocem, the country’s cement association. However, YoY figures show a 3.6 per cent rise. The French cement market continues to contract with the country’s cement association, SFIC, released its provisional November 2014 data. Market demand fell 11.8 per cent YoY to 1.347Mt against a 10.6 per cent YoY drop noted the previous month, when domestic cement sales reached 1.726Mt. Argentina’s cement consumption falls 4.7 per cent MoM

In November, Argentina’s cement market contracted by 9.4 per cent MoM and 4.7 per cent YoY as 997,440t of cement were sold, according to the country's cement association, AFCP. The country’s cement producers delivered 1,011,082t, including exports and as such saw their sales volumes drop 9.3 per cent MoM. When compared with November 2013, dispatches fell by 4.8 per cent.

Cement production in Kenya rose by 15.2 per cent as consumption in the east African country surges, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics.
