Chile's market expands 17% YoY in 11M21

Cement dispatches in Chile edged up 0.2 per cent in November 2021 to 390,080t from 389,488t in November 2020, according to the Chilean construction chamber, CChC. In the first 11 months of 2021 deliveries saw a 17 per cent advance YoY to 4,014,856t from 3,42,051t in the 11M20.

Moroccan cement deliveries up 7% in December

Cement deliveries in Morocco increased 6.9 per cent YoY to 1,255,552t in December, according to data from the Ministry of Housing and Urbanisation. In December 2020 APC members Asment Temara, Ciments de l’Atlas, Ciments du Maroc and LafargeHolcim Maroc supplieda total of 1,174,183t of cement. For the full-year 2021, cement dispatches advanced 14.8 per cent YoY from 12.174Mt in 2020 to 13.975Mt in 2021.

Colombia's cement market expands 4% in November

Colombian cement demand increased four per cent YoY in November 2021 to 1.167Mt from 1.122Mt in November 2020, according to the country’s statistics office, DANE. When compared with November 2019 the market expanded by 7.7 per cent from 1.083Mt. Cement demand in Indonesia reached 5.94Mt in November 2021, representing a 2.1 per cent drop YoY. ASI Chairman Widodo Santoso said the decline occurred in almost all areas on the islands of Java, Sumatra, Sulawesi, and eastern Indonesia. Cement dispatches in Vietnam declined by seven per cent YoY to 5,570,069Mt in November 2021 but advanced by six per cent when compared with October 2021, according to the Vietnamese cement association, VNCA. The total Indonesian production of cement and clinker in November 2021 reached 11.45Mt, down 22 per cent from 14.67Mt when compared with October 2021, according to the Indonesian Ministry of Industry. Cement dispatches in Peru increased three per cent YoY and 21 per cent when compared with November 2019 to 1.208Mt, according to Asocem, the country’s cement association. The Iranian cement market required a supply of 5.36Mt in November 2021, according to the Iranian Cement Association. Domestic supply of cement and clinker reached 5.35Mt and 6.57Mt, respectively. In addition 0.38Mt of cement and 0.97Mt of clinker was exported by the country’s cement producers.
