Hsing Ta Cement posts 14% increase in revenue

Taiwan’s Hsing Ta Cement has seen its revenue in June 2021 fall 19.5 per cent YoY to TWD492m (US$17.54n) from TWD611.25m.  In the January-June period, revenue improved 13.6 per cent YoY to TWD3.69bn from TWD3.26bn. 

Universal Cement records 12% rise in revenue

Taiwan’s Universal Cement has posted a 10.2 per cent YoY decline in June revenue to TWD407.13bn (US$14.5m) from TWD453.56m in the year-ago period. In the first six months of the year, revenue advanced 12.1 per cent to TWD2.91bn from TWD2.59bn.

NCL Industries announces 52% rise in production

India’s NCL Industries has announced a 52 per cent YoY increase in cement production to 706,370t in the first quarter of FY21-22. Cement dispatches were also up 44 per cent to 698,498t compared to the year-ago period. The company’s cement board production rose 37 per cent to 17,196t and dispatches climbed 32 per cent to 10,634t.

ECEBOL reaches 80% capacity utilisation since restart

Three weeks after its restart, Empresa Püblica Productiva Cementos de Bolivia (ECEBOL) has achieved a capacity utilisation rate of 80 per cent, according to Bolivian President, Luis Arce. “Only three weeks after its reactivation, our Bolivian Cement Company is producing at 80% of its capacity, selling the product to La Paz, Oruro and Cochabamba. Cemento Rocafuerto, a subsidiary of Guatemala-based Cemento Progreso, has opened Belize’s first cement plant at Mile 34 of the George Price Highway, near the capital Belmopan, in the presence of the country’s Prime Minister, John Briceño.
