Dong Lam Cement JSC will invest VND4.7trn (US$221m) on a new plant in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue. The Dong Lam cement plant in Phong Dien district currently has a clinker and cement capacity of 5000tpd and 2Mta, respectively. Kwanza Sul Cement Factory (FCKS) plans to increase the cement production with a new 1500tpd line to raise total installed capacity to 6000tpd. Turkey: Afyon Cimento to relocate plant

Turkish cement producer Afyon Cimento Sanayi has decided to invest US$165m (EUR133m) to reloctate its cement plant from Afyonkarahisar in western Turkey. The company will reconstruct the 0.55Mta cement plant at a new site in Halimoru village in the same district and will upgrade the plant with modern technology, the company said.

Amul Cement is constructing a vertical shaft kiln in Patapar village, Junagadh, Gujarat, India. The mini plant will cost INR30m (US$484,587) and will have a capacity of 37,500tpa of cement and concrete products. Machinery will be procured locally. The project is waiting for environmental clearance. Civil work is nearing completion and the project is scheduled for completion in 2Q15.
