The Supreme Court of Pakistan has issued notices to several cement factory owners to appear on 20 April, with regards to clarifying their position on the drying out of the Shiri Katas Raj Temple Pond. The pond has allegedly been depleted due to the operation of cement plants in the area, which may have removed the underground water. Montcada Municipality files appeal against LafargeHolcim plant environmental permit

The Municipality of Montcada i Reixac, Spain, has filed an appeal with the Supreme Court of Catalonia against the renewal of the environmental permit of the LafargeHolcim plant located in the municipality. India's Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has revoked its closure order on Kakatiya Cements' facility in Nalgonda, according to Money Control.
