Cement sales in Brazil fell by 6.6 per cent YoY to 5.51Mt in July 2022 from 5.899Mt in July 2021, according to the Brazilian cement association, SNIC. Iranian cement demand reached 5.36Mt in July 2022, according to the Iranian Cement Association. This represents a YoY increase of 34 per cent when compared with July 2022, when domestic dispatches were 4Mt. Cement demand in Argentina increased by 9.9 per cent in July 2022, according to the AFCP, the country cement association. Dispatches were up 3.9 per cent MoM to 1,146,900t. Cement consumption in Vietnam came in at 5.95Mt in July 2022, down 27 per cent compared to July 2021, according to data from the Department of Building Materials under the Ministry of Construction. Pakistan began the new fiscal (July 2022) by registering lower cement and clinker exports in value and volume terms, with declines seen on both a MoM and YoY basis. Pakistan dispatched a 2.039Mt of cement during July 2022, down 47.7 per cent from 3.899Mt during the same month of the last fiscal year.
