FLSmidth confirms Qatari project talks, contract to be finalised15 October 2013, Published under Cement NewsFollowing reports in Qatari media stating that FLSmidth has entered into an agreement with Qatari Investors Group for supply of equipment and machinery for a cement plant in Qatar, the Danish equipment supplier has confirmed negotiations are currently taking place. However, in a statement released yesterday, FLSmidth said that the order is yet to be confirmed: "If and when a contract is finalised and becomes binding, we shall immediately inform the market," the release said. |

The company said : "Cement earnings were significantly below last year as expected. Order intake decreased 30 per cent, but revenue increased 37 per cent, whereas EBITA decreased 37 per cent."
