"The idea is to buy at similar cost to what we produce in Paraguay and from countries of the region such as Argentina and Brazil," said Mr Mendez. He added that currently the production of cement is about 50,000 bags per day and for next week, that will increase to cover the amount that came producing normally. |

Of the total, imports accounted for 4.07Mt. In June alone, shipments reached 8.935Mt, including 930,581t of imports. Meanwhile, clinker production over the six month period totalled 35.3Mt, with output in June reported to be just over 7Mt. |
